Went to Sicily Italy August 2017 to visit my wife's Guinea relatives. At the house we stayed at a girl told us about a place in Cassibile on the east coast where she went cliff jumping. She said there was a WW2 battle fought there and she had found a spent bullet in the water off the cliffs about a 1/2 mile from a big concrete gun turret. So we went. After much looking I finally found a spot in the water while I was snorkeling where I found a bullet in a little depression right on top of a large rock. As I looked down I started seeing spots in the sand the same color as the statue of Liberty. So I held my breath and dove down and start digging between the rocks and sand and started pulling up encrusted objects which were obviously bullets. When we flew home to the states my neighbor down the street who reloads threw them in his wet tumbler and cleaned them up. What really stands out to me is the 45 ACP bullet. That's a pistol caliber. Just how nasty did the fighting get there. That's an American round shot from either a Thompson or a 1911. The **** must've gotten thick. It blows my mind to think of the years gone by. These bullets just sitting there waiting for my hands to pull them out and back into the light of day. So glad I'm a snorkeler. Enjoy

Welcome to the forum. I don't know if there is such a thing as crappy posts, maybe just crappy finds like pull tabs and foil wrappers. Go ahead and post your story. Pics are always better with a story behind them

The 2 on the right look like 6.5mm carcano and the other do look military. Cool finds, welcome to Tnet. By the way, the Carcano was possible the worst military rifle of WWII, I think it was the M1938, but I’m not positive, same gun that got pinned on Lee Harvey Oswald for the Kennedy assasination

Thanks for sharing. Don't worry about the machine you use - there aren't many pros or MD'r snobs on this site. Unkind posts are usually addressed "en masse" by the members. Heck, they don't even make fun of me when I post pictures of my pull tabs anymore (well not much anyway). Welcome to the site.
