WW1 Dog Tag with provenance, I think...

Thanks for looking. I believe I have a WW1 Dog Tag from Homer Lewis. I may be wrong so I’ll take any information I can get. I fount this in a town called Chuluota, FL. (east Orlando). My daughter found the information in just a few moments and it’s pictured. Assuming this is legit, Homer Lewis lived in Sanford, FL. which is only a few miles from where this was found. She found Info on his family and apparently had no offspring. I do not know what the numbers on the back mean, and it may be missing the last digit, but I wonder if the first two digits on the tag correspond with the grave marker (PFC 16 Engr). I’m sure some of you can help identify the numbers but I know nothing else….If this is authentic, I’d love to get it to a descendant.

Any info would be appreciated..

The Page Jackson Cemetery was acquired by the Goldsboro Westside Community Historical Association. Several years ago, they had plans to clean up and restore the cemetery. You might try them for more information.

You definitely have a WW1 dog tag....ID tag. The numbers on the back are his Army issued serial number. Nice find.
