Nice. The Canucks have always been our staunch allies and were based all over Britain in both world wars.

Cool.

I believe I found same, has a date of 1915 on it, far right point of back side.

Yes, had a couple of that type & a couple of other Canadian Cap badges, as others have said not that surprising with them being based here :icon_thumright:
Still enjoy finding them, its a good find I think :icon_thumright:

Did you find it any where near Slough? If I remember right, wasn't Cliveden a WWI Canadian hospital? Should have been a bunch of them ambling around Burnham Beeches.

that would be something i would love to find now i'v seen one, are you going to bend it back to it's original shape, i would do it with a pine mallet against a pine board because pine is soft and is less likely to damage it and if you have a small blow torch heat it up beforehand and do light taps to avoid damaging the brass , information is from my dad who took Metallurgy and worked with metal for 20 years.

That's a beautiful find Jimmy! :icon_thumright:

Here's what it would've originally looked like . . .

Thanks everyone :-) I found it in Essex. I think I will just leave it as old metal like is that's been on the ground for the last 80 years or so will be weak =)
