Hi all, Been getting behind on posting my finds. Last thurdays evening i spent about 4 hours on a dis-used home site. The dwelling were removed long ago. From the local rates notices and title search i found the location. Quite surprized by the lack of ground junk. That leads me to assume that the dwellings where free standing on stumps. Still got a few nails and many whats it nothings.Only keeper was a Lewis gun badge and uinform enfeild cross rifles from the WW1.its been quite a few weeks since i have found any sort of coins and nearly 2 years on a piece of jewelery.Kind of odd i find plenty of natural gold on the diggings but really struggle on old house sites .Heres a few pics and finds

Quite familiar with it.
Funny you brought it up, I just fired a Japanese copy from 1920 last weekend.
A friend has a curio and Relic license, and this gun (forget the type number) qualifies..
It is fun to shoot in full auto, but a BEAST...

of the 887 men of the 60th battlion only the lewis gun crews and support were left after the battle of Fromelles 1915 150 men . Australians had 5000 injured and dead in one day.German ,French and british losses were just as great. What a slaughter :-\ :-\ :-\

Might not be much but the condition is outstanding :icon_thumright:

Unusual to find both in the one hole. No buttons or cap badge, makes it interesting. Might have been those bloody kids losing things again. Then again, might be more similar around the same spot.
