Thanks!

Awesome find! Congrats

Thank you!

Did you find out if they were initials or not? Super sweet find I hunt WV all the time and have found civil war lead but that's it looking for that plate of my own lol

Yes, it did. Took it to a local relics dealer who was able to read them. Now I'm trying to find Union rosters for soldiers who were in the area where I found it.. so I can match them to someone. Pretty cool!

Good luck on finding your own too. What part of WV?

That's awesome I'm down in cabell county

Do you hunt Carter County KY much? Heard there's a cache of silver in one of those caves!

No I haven't hunted there I don't think I would have such luck to find something like that I just love recovering civil war relics haha

Where in WV are you located

Keyser. Close to PA, VA, and MD is only five minutes drive.

Nice then your in prime civil war territory I got skirmishes in my area

Yeah...it's hard to find places that haven't been picked over though. I've had some success but I'm staying vigilant.

I like it over here I find the early war .69 cals they're monsters lol I couldn't imagine getting struck by that

Heard. I like it down your way...my sis lived in Teays Valley for a while.

Yea bunch of skirmishes in hurricane and Winfield next to teays valley

I worked for mineral fabrication out of keyser always wanted to hunt that area I hunt in the Elkins area
