I dug this wrought iron trident pitchfork yesterday. I electrolysised it for 24 hours. Anyone know what it was used for.

I would say that Jude is correct, just a home made one. Having grown up on a large ranch we too used to make many items out of metal laying around for something we needed on the spot.
