Well, its been five months since I have been able to do any shipwreck treasure hunting back home in Florida, and that's about to change. I have swept out my cave in the mountains of Afghanistan, and packed my backpack with all the treasures I have collected over the last few months. I have tickets and passport in hand and will be flying out of Kabul in about 12 hours, and after spending the better part of a day in Dubai will be flying across the pond for the good Ole US of A, touching down early Saturday morning in Melbourne Florida. :occasion14:

Welcome back Tom. It's gonna be a great feeling being back on your barrier island! Is this temporary or you back for good?

Hey Weckdiver,

Thanks all, I'm stuck in Dubai due to mechanical problems so I'm not there just yet, the latest is that I will be back in Melbourne sometime Saturday evening, we shall see. At least I'm out of Afghanistan, so that's a start. Damn, four Coronas just cost me $30.00., but they sure did taste good! aaahhhhhhhh yes!

All goods worth price charged (Jack Daniels) ;D
Sent my cousin a box with homemade pepperoni rolls packed around a half gallon of Lord Calvert to
protect it in transit during first Desert Storm . He could have sold it for over 2 grand . Instead , he shared it with the MP outfit he was in command of .
Like everyone else ; I'm glad to see you on your way home .

Welcome home, Tom. Welcome home.

yea! Glad to see your on your way, we sure missed you at the last gathering!
Does this mean another TH party? I'll host one at my house!

Yea Baby! Landed in Melbourne late last night. Damn good to be back on the beachside again. :occasion14: :sunny:

Theresa had the Excalibur 1000 on the charger before I landed :icon_thumleft:

Glad to hear it Tom! And from all of us, thank you for your service! I need to feel some U.S. Soil in my flip flops as well, we're on stand by here waiting on some excavation permits for a very nice wreck....and some better funding. LOL I'm thinking about a short break in the states...and I hope to swing up your way to buy you a beer of appreciation (or a case...you know how it goes). I'd love to compare pics with you...we can debate the merits of 70mm vs. 12 pounder. LOL

Welcome home!

Jason
