My girlfriend and I went to a new location tonight, the old map shows a school house there in 1910. We gained permission and began the search which started with a bang! I pulled the 1903 indian on the second hole! Then followed by the Good Luck token! I have seen so many of that style posted on here it's neat to pull one myself! I love the pocket knife find that battle axe badge on the side is something new to me!
Anyway we were finding an occasional wheat here and there hoping we could score some silver before the day was through or even another Indian. We moved to the part of the property closer to the road and my girlfriend called me over. She dug the 1891 Indian head penny which was her first 1800s coin! About 2 feet away I got a pretty solid Indian head penny signal on the at pro and pulled the 1896 Indian.
About the time I replace my plug I hear my girlfriend say omg omg omg I turn around she has her hand clenched into a fist she looks at me and says "I don't know what I have but it's silver and it might be a quarter" she proceeds to flash the coin to me I caught a glimpse of the eagle and told her it was a barber quarter, her face lit up. I really don't think I would have enjoyed this coin as much if I would have dug it myself!
She goes from finding her first silver being a Rosie straight to a 1900 barber quarter(a bucket lister for me) and joining the 1800s club absolutely a day I'll never forget! We didn't have to long in this area by the road as we had to leave for a birthday party but I will be returning to this site guaranteed! Hope everyone is well, best of luck and happy hunting all!
