WOW!! WHAT A DAY WITH "warsawdaddy"

Went to Warsaw, Missouri and met with "warsawdaddy for the first time
today.

We went metal detecting and "What A Find I Made".

1865 two cent piece, misstruck at the mint, one side opposite from the
other, in a small grassy area, approx 25 yards from the Osage River,
approx 4" deep with my DFX and my new DetectorPro Pistol Probe
Pinpointer.

"warsawdaddy found (4) coins with his new X-70 and I found an additional
(6) coins.

Pictures to follow as soon as I get the coin cleaned up and I learn how to
post pictures on this site. Any help would be appreciated as I haven't got
a clue as to the process of posting pictures on internet or T-Net.

My thanks goes out to "warsawdaddy" for his tremendous "friendship" and
the terrific hunt we had today.

What blklab means is,he'll post pics when he lands again from cloud nine! To say he was a little overjoyed doesn't do justice to how he felt,and me too.It was great meeting a new friend and I certainly enjoyed the day and got just as big of a thrill at seeing what he found as he did.Congratulations again,blklab,and hope we can do it again soon.It should be mentioned that blklab will have serious surgery on his hand next week and the Dr's hope they can save his finger.Goodluck,buddy,my prayers will be with you.

A day with Daddy is the best ever rather you get to hunt or not, I do really hope everyone can get the chance to meet him!


And Lab prayers for your surgery! Quick healing so you can get out and hunt again!

I always got to get Jeff to down load pics then I can do the rest I know someone on here can help ya! ;D

WSD is truly the BEST of what this hobby has to offer! He is such an all around great person. I count myself very lucky to have met him. :thumbsup: :icon_king:

Sounds like the 2c piece has a rotated reverse. Post a photo of it with its reflection in a mirror and we can all check it out if that's what it is.

WOW two great finds in one day! The two cent piece and WSD. It don't get any better than that. I hope to find WSD my self in Nov.

You guys are embarrasing me.I just enjoy good friends and this great sport.My door is always open to everyone.I have been very fortunate to have been introduced to a great site and the terrific comraderie of the folks I have met.God Bless all for accepting this old man.

I can't wait to see pics, either. I like to see great finds, and they teach me a lot. I never knew there was such a thing as a 3 cent piece, a two cent piece or a chain cent until I saw them on T-Net....

They don't come any better than WSD! We all love him! Glad you got a chance to get out and hunt with him and find some great things too! Looking forward to seeing the pics!

The real story is when I stayed with him at the hunt. He had women in our room all night flashing that badge of his. He kept asking me to step out in the hall for awhile. ;D
