Yup. Not only have I done the same, but recently.
Spent 10mins searching a ghost. :)
Also, your digger is great.

Peace ✌

was digging a silver dime signal during the spring thaw.lost the signal and spent a couple mins trying to figure it out.finally I scraped the little mud of my samson and there was a 1910 barber dime in it.was such a thin layer on shovel I figured no way but had run out of other possibilities.

My buddy had same type deal happen.turned out an IH was actually on his boot laces.when I saw it I was just laughing.

Not a ghost! My deceased brother used to say...It was a gold coin with wings!!

Had a silver dime stuck to the dirt on my digger once, the disappearing signal had me confused for a little while until I happened to eyeball it stuck to the digger. Cheers!!

That's 1 wicked digger, looks like a dagger digger.

Yeah...those tabs have been getting aggressive lately...they'll latch on to anything...even diggers and other implements.

Thanks all and it was a blank and was turned into a digger. Added a handle. It dogs great.

I get coins stuck to my shovel when I dig in clay. That clay is a mess it stains your shoes for a few days also. Clay keeps a coin well preserved also, like a silver wax.
