LOL, I better check my change jug, I may be a millionaire

Or a crook like this guy! :laughing7:. On the one hand, Etsy should be ashamed to allow obviously misrepresented coins to be listed for sale, and on the other hand, who would be ignorant enough to shell out that kind of money without some sort of knowledge about error vs. damaged coins, and their relative value? IMO, if you fall for that, you get what you deserve.

error vs. damaged coins, and their relative value?

Other than throwing my old coins in a box I'm not really a coin collector. But I have a hard time believing that any 1982 penny is worth $20K, no matter what kind of error is on it. I also have a hard time believing that one person, i.e. CraigsIICoins has somehow found so many of them. But what really has me scratching my head is how many people have them in their cart. If they "proceed to checkout" this guy is going to retire early. Maybe it's the free shipping that hooks them...

A fool and his money are soon separated....

Etsy isn't a good place to buy coins. Mostly regular coins overpriced and fakes.

A grand total of 0 sales, I suspect it will stay that way

I looked at the pictured lists, real garbage, for BIG BUCKS. No way.

When I see books for sale at absolutely ridiculous prices, I'm tempted to contact the Seller and offer them a copy for half of what they are asking.

I don't bother doing it, because I already know the answer.

Good luck to all,

The Old Bookaroo

But notice how many people have those fabulous buys "in their carts."

Better hurry!

Good luck to all,

The Old Bookaroo

what's really sad , they could probably hook a few suckers pricing them at $5. a piece . plus overpriced shipping

which may be what they are doing. selling on ebay and facebook and referring to etsy for value check,
Just like people at Public Auctions buy Silver coins at 3 Times the Silver value Because Shopping Channel says a Used Silver Dollar is worth More then a Perfect one because it shows allot of People Touched and spent it in the Past :laughing7:

or uncirculated With Bag Marks Straight from the Factory

Every single one of those pennies he is selling looks like pennies I find on the road all the time, i.e. just dinged and battered and abused. If he thinks he can turn a profit I'd be happy to sell him all the bruisers he wants at $2/each, with no shipping costs. We could both make a fortune!

There was a least one genuine off-center error I saw in the bunch. Still WAY too much money for it though.

I have a serious handheld metal detector for sale... the best most compact...

And a special price... a buy one get one BOGO price which only will cost a small additional shipping and handling and packing materials and tape charge.

This price is a one time ONLY offer... Because it is you.

Be one of the first 1000 callers and you will also receive a free pinpointer... WHICH IS WITH the detector that you will receive pictured here.

(*disclaimer* some have trouble seeing the pinpointer in the picture... but it is there... just a bad picture)

... Limited time will be up soon.

But we have extended it... for a bit longer due to high volume of the stereo.
