Over the last 5 years, the city of New York Has installed Citibike stands and created express bus lanes where there used to be public parking spaces. These "IMPROVEMENTS??" have probably removed 5 thousand parking spots in Manhattan. Monthly Parking fees in private garages are around the $400 to $600 a month range.
This scooter owner has resorted to taking a full parking space with his / her scooter. The owner is also holding the spot for when he returns with his car. The scooter is parked legally but has a tendency to really piss off other motorists that are looking for a parking spot. I know what their thoughts are but there are cameras everywhere in NYC.

That's what happens when you bunk with 8,000,000.00 other people. :tongue3:

But yes, I'd do it in a heartbeat if that what was needed.

That scooter is insured to the freaking limit. He'll probably Make Money if it gets clipped. We know NYC is a cockroach wrapped in a paradox, swimming upside down in an enigma. :skullflag:

"The scooter is parked legally"

Personally I hope I never have to set foot in New York.... Ever.

Been there once, that was enough for me. Got my lifetime dose of NY.

Honestly where do you want him to put it? You know he will get ticketed through the nose if he parks on the sidewalk or anywhere else that isn't a designated vehicle parking space.

Wig and makeup for the cameras, and a small thermite cocktail for the scooter.

I grew up in Queens during possibly the worst of it's days. 1960's and 70's
Having said that, NYC has more to offer than any other city in the world . Bad, but also incredibly good.
And N.Y. is a hell of a lot safer and cleaner and approachable now than when I was living there.
