I think CSI did a show about that, some poor boob metal detecting in a lightening storm. Was it murder
or did he die from stupidity? ::)

Nope, your detector will crackle a bit just before you see the bolt. At least that's the way mine reacted the last couple thunderstorms I've been caught in. Seek shelter
 

lol looks like one of my kinda posts from the distant past last week anyway now my new detector is coming I will of course be posting finds :D :D
 

Lightning is pretty tough on golfers... lose a few every year. Not sure how many.

If you have a chain leash and big dog tie him off to the metal shaft on the detector and keep your hands on the plastic, and make him sit until you move. That orta do it. Let us know if you make it. newt
