I'm not into "rocking", so what is your question about the rocks?

Are you wondering about the type, mineral content, value, etc. ?
Which one of the two were you able to break open?
Which images shows the interior of the broken one?

Maybe edit you initial post adding some descriptive language to each photo see we can follow along easier.

Thanks I’ll work on editing. I’d just like the basic composition. I have a very nice specimen collection. Just started rocking again (been 20 years) post Rona. I find being outdoors with Mother Nature is soothing. The top one breaks like glass and is very sharp like glass. Never looking for value I collect (buy or find) because I love rocks!

How hard is the mineral I'm pointing the arrows at, try and see if a sharp piece of quartz will scratch it, if it doesn't its Chalcedony, if it does scratch it, it may be opal? I've never held any opal so dont take that to the bank, the others look like quartz mixed with a host of some kind, someone on here might know what the host is. Best I can do from photos, sorry I couldn't be more of help.
