This is for Eu. Let's see if I can make you proud with my information and picture giving skills!! Lol
Found out in the woods of east Texas. There are 4 more kindly the same, however they have some differences. If that even makes sense. Their texture looks the same, but they are different colored.
This sucker was is super heavy and I am no wimp. But it kind of kicked my butt extracting it from the woods. Or maybe that was because the wheel barrel had a flat??!! I also , tried to whack a piece off and it wouldn't budge. That's the photo where it looks very yellow on the "tip".
I am providing Elise ups, wet pic , dry pic, different angles and lighting and even took a pic of the "streak". Actually, 3 different color streaks all at once.
I am not an algae or moss expert but the green (olivine?) is hard I tried SS tape it off and it's stuck in there whatever it is. Will post pics of others in a new thread. Not exactly sure why i am drawn to this rock but it's awesome.
I am not from here and had no clue about the "chigger " situation. Might be fall before I go back

Well, not sure I'd go with proud. LOL! But I think it's good enough.

My guess is going to be either granitoid or even a syenite. The latter being less likely.
Streak variations are due to iron-minerals oxidizing/weathering, I'd think.

The green I am unsure of. Could be some kinda mineral; like epidote, amphibole. But could also be some kinda coating.

Well, now we all can't be the best at the same thing. That's why I ask you!
