IMO. Originally posted in 2009.

Found by Paul Snyder in (or around) Seneca County in NW Ohio. Material is good quality Delaware Chert with obviously aged surfaces. Old flint can develop a soft, polished patina that fakers try to mimic all kinds of ways. This one's the real deal.

Not sure how to answer you. Lame in French means "blade," and it pretty much is one.

I've heard (read) you and others use the term before and got the impression that Lamellar fashioned pieces have a specific anatomy. I've never had a good understanding of it. Is it a culture, a knapping technique, style or what? And yes that is a killer artifact.
