World's Fair Spoon
I went detecting in a little old park, in a little old town.
A few feet from the car, I got a signal that I wanted to dig. It was deeper than my machine told me it was, but I kept going down until I realized it was a spoon. I thought it was some cheap discarded tableware and it was very solidly embedded, but I decided to keep pursuing it till the end.
After pulling it out, I realized that it was kind of old, and I was mildly anticipating cleaning it, to see what it was.
I got it cleaned up, did a little research, and to my surprise it's a souvenir from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair.
I don't make money, but I have fun!
