worlds fair, fob or medal? - SOLVED

found this buried about 10 in. deep at an old hitching post at an old cow camp in the mountains, thought it was gold but guess its not. it looks the same now as it did in the ground. I've checked every source I can think of and haven't been able to find out anything on this item. I do know that they built the cowpalace just for the 1915 exposition. I would like to know about rarity and value if any, hope somebody out there has some ideas. Oh yeah when I found this I was looking for a silver bit that was lost about 1920, never did find it.
