Cool ! Back about 2000 I dug one. Needless to say it was unusable.

Nice Find :icon_thumright:

Nice find RelicHunterPro. Now have a "lucky flashlight" to take with you when MD'ng. Thanks for sharing...

Winchester Co. diversified in the late teens and started making everything under the sun. Tools, ice skates, the list goes on and on. When the depression hit in '29 Winchester went under. John Olin bought Winchester and the first thing he did was eliminate the "other stuff" and went back to making just guns so your flashlight was made before 1931 or so. Gary

Very cool find. My grandmother worked in the Winchester factory in New Haven, CT in the 20s. They made all kinds of cool stuff. She gave my parents matching side-by-side shotguns for a wedding present. Dad's was a 12 gauge, Mom's was a 16. They sold Mom's shortly after they were married as they needed the money to build their home (where I grew up). When we were early teens, my brother and I surprised Dad with a real treat... we refinished the stock on his gun - a really half-adzed job that ruined any collectors value, but done with the best intentions. My brother still has the gun so it doesn't really matter.
Winchester has fallen victim, like so many others to industrial over-seas competition. When I was in Southeast Asia during the most recent unpleasantries there, I could have bought Winchester 101s over-unders through the PACEX catalog for about $125 apiece (worth about 10 times that much now) but $125 was a boatload of money back then for me. They were being manufactured in Japan.
