I found this piece of worked chert along the north shore of Lake Erie. The area was home to Neutral Indians before European settlement. I'm very new to artifact hunting, so please excuse this post if this is a simple solve. Could this be an arrowhead or part of an old tool, etc.? It is approx one inch in length. I'm attaching a front and back photo (the back pic should show grey like the front pic.. I don't know what happened to the lighting in the back pic).

Hi,
Looks like high quality chert/flint (possible jasper) with some worked spots, so I would count it as a artifact. Could be a worn scraper or a reduction flake from the manufacture of a point. Thanks for posting and keep hunting!
