Chief Rodney Collins tells the Cape Cod Times that 23-year-old William Kophammer was caught by a police dog shortly after 6:30 a.m. Thursday carrying a 40-pound backpack filled with coins, jewelry, iPods and other items he allegedly stole from several homes and cars.
