That's my first hardstone. Besides shell all I had was a piece of a bit.

Woooow! I'm still kinda shakey!

It has a nicer bit than mine does. LOL. It looks like the same type stone as the thing I called a Celt. Do you know what that lithic is? Again, congrats!!!!

WOW that is a great find! Very nice bit on it and no damage from where I sit. Looks to be perfect.

There's not a ding on it. hard to imagine it was ever used.

Absolutely flawless!! Lucky dog. Do you think it was traded into your area or native Florida stone?

Thank you everyone!! I'm going to be buzzing for a while. Gotta love the full moon.

Definitely not from here. I think you have to go to Georgia.

So what type of stone is it? I dont think its Granite. Might of been used for Ceremonial purposes only.

I can not think that this piece was ever used. Gator, we have talked about the " water interstate" where you live. I do not believe this piece made it to the first night's camp ground. I wish so many artifacts could talk.

Really cool find dude. Outstanding. Hardstone pieces are rare finds in most places. Any artifact in perfect condition is extremely rare. You found both in a single piece. I'm glad you found it.

Just thought dimensions would be a good idea. Its 4 3/4 inches long 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches thick.
