WooHoo!!! My first Ben Franklins and Walkers

I left for a trip last week leaving what I thought would be a skunk box sitting at home. I had gone through 8 rolls before leaving and nothing! So just a side note...While in CA I hit a bank and got a couple of rolls. They were rolled in Harrah's paper. Machine rolled. From that I got a 40% out of each one! So I got greeday and took another 200.00 worth. These were hand rolled and I really hoped they would be good. Every one was a bicentennial :P So I am thinking I need to dump these before I board the plane that evening. I have an account with the biggest CU in CA so shouldn't be a big deal to find a CU service center to deposit them. Nope not a one!!! Let me just say they will check your bags if you are carrying 22 mysterious slugs of metal in your bag Them things are heavy especially when putting it in the overhead compartments of the plane !!

Now to the good part! Started opening up the 42 rolls I had left from the box and picked out about 8 40%'s and then the fun started!! My first BEN!!! 1960. Then a few rolls later another BEN!! Then the next roll a Walker which was a real slick 1934!!! Man was I excited! The next roll I pulled out two more Walkers!!! Woohoo!! A 1941 and a 1945 in pretty good shape. Then pulled out another Ben and a 1964!!! Also pulled a 2003, 04 and 06. What a box! I picked the other box this morning from the same shipment and someone picked up 5 rolls out of it!!!! Arrggghh!! Who would do a thing like that. Anyway I will update with the other box finds tomorrow.

That is a good guess but they just ripped open the top on one end enough to get just 5 rolls out. They opened the wrong side too.

Going through a couple of rolls at lunch I found 2 1967's so that is good. Not a skunk!!!

Wow, you had a great box, congratulations. The bank might have ripped open the box to sell 5 rolls to a customer. Then the teller that sold you box didn't know they were taken out? Did you call the bank back and tell them that you were shorted 5 rolls?

I'm sorry I guess I wasn't clear I didn't get shorted. They told me they did it before I paid.

Congrats on your first Franklins and Walkers Cocrh. Reading your post I could feel your excitement and exciting it is when you have finds like you did!! Great job.

I hope the next box is a good one too.

I agree with the above...more than likely....a bank employee got to snooping and saw some prizes on the end of the rolls and bought them.

My next box with 45 rolls was not as good as my other one but still really great. I don't think the bank employees were looking for good rolls cuz the box was only a 1/4 ripped open and they missed that walker staring out of one roll

Two more Walkers !! A 1943 and a 1945!! One was on the end of the roll staring at me!! Boy was that a good roll!!

Then another roll had two 64's !!!

Also pulled out 8 40% halves. I ordered two more boxes!!

Congrats! The first thing I do when I get a box is check the ends.
I've found 1 Walker and 4 - 40%ers. What a rush.
