WOODSTOCK

Canned Heat -

Go Ask Alice -

Nice one , I almost forgot about her , I wouldn't want to be her Manicurist .

I like Joe

50 years ago today! A buddies brother took his girlfriend to it. I asked my buddies brother what is was like and he said he didn't remember anything!

I'm sure if everyone who said they were There, Really Was.
The Crowd would have Probably been Doubled :laughing7:

but anyway, & would think all the People who Were there &
Are alive & Not Demented for Alzheimer's
Actually Remember some of It.

I've got Memory Lapses, But as a Whole, My belief Woodstock was not a Forgettable Event. There would have to be a Few Events Burned into The Brain.

So many creative geniuses in music during that time. Still relevant today. Never to be repeated.

I wish I had a time travel machine -

I agree about the time machine, but let me ride with you. We will go back to 1963 first and bring back some Corvettes and silver coins!

My girlfriend remembers the traffic jam, the rain and that she was amazed that she and her boyfriend somehow hooked up with the other ten members of her communal house in Baltimore on the second day of the event. At the time, it was just another concert for her, nothing "special", although much, much larger than she expected. The musician she remembers most was Richie Havens, the first to perform, who she had seen several times before. The "Woodstock Generation" hype all came later when the movie was released.

I come from a Military family and was told Woodstock was ment for hippies and my uncles hated hippies with a passion...They have lots of stories of beating up hippies for fun lol

One comment I remember from The Movie was they were Interviewing Townspeople
And all the the One Redneck had to say Was "They are All Happy ! "
Like that was a Bad thing.

And They asked a Policeman what He thought & He said They were all Great, Very Nice Young People.
And the Interviewer Asked him if that's Strange for a Cop to Say &
He said "I'm not a Cop ! I'm a Policeman " :laughing7:

I've Known Cops & I've known Policeman.
I've always Respected & Got along with Policeman.
