Got out today with Kimsdad, WaterColor, Treasurefiend and Olderactor.

Got 4 wheats 1919S 1919 1920 and 1928

Right next to a tree the detector sounded off with a nice high tone. As I looked down I saw the top of a ring sticking out of the ground. Reached down and pull out a Sterling Silver Ring.

About a foot over I got a signal and dug down about 6-8 inches and pulled out my target.

At first I thought it was a train smashed large cent but when I turned it over I felt the raised letter.
I wiped it off and saw 1917 then US. ( Cool !!!!! WWI ) I looks like it was made where the planchet was clipped.

I don't think it was a medal but it could be...

Any Idea's on what it may be from??????

Had a great time guy's and Thanks for the invite..... Bob
