Found these Items at a site that is suppose to be from a Civil War battle ground.
The Bell is broken out on the reverse side and is made of some heavy metal with very little rust. The loops are made of metal and they also have little rust. Not sure what they come from. Have no idea of the age of any of these items any suggestions would be welcomed.

Interesting stuff. The loops look like the open ends would have been on the other side of some material and were/are bent to hold them in place. Like perhaps on a saddlebag or jacket. Another piece would have gone thru the closed end which would have been on the outside of the item in a clasp fashion. Maybe...

Thats what I thought too. But with out the great diagram :roll:
Thanks! The thinner parts look like they went through some sort of material to hold the item in place like you said. Perhaps a horse rig or to a back pack.
'Update: Daughter says the are from old western style horse saddles.
could be?
