If you have ever done any research about Woodbridge or Perth Amboy NJ you will know that during the 1800s and early 1900s the clay/terra cotta industry was the business most locals were involved with. While digging locally it is not uncommon to find bricks that were manufactured in town or clay door knobs. To celebrate this history the town had a display in city hall so I thought you may find this article interesting. I also included a few extra pictures (sorry if they are not the clearest..they were taken through a glass display window).
