Hi all friends, I came here due to a great reason, I found heavy stone 7 Kg weight relatively very high weight according to its normal size. At the start , I start , I tried to break it by hitting hard to a concrete slab. But after several hard attempts, some outer crust removed. Then I noticed , there is more hardy stone in it. Outer layer has burnt marks. Almost this wonderful stone may be a Meteorite. This great object may be very useful to the world, 7Kg weight. Now I am thinking, what should I do now ? Please help me.

Congrats on the find and Wel-come to the club ... :occasion14:

Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Now, on your question - I noticed you posted the same exact question on Forum > Discoveries > What Is It? You should get some help on that thread - it would be very helpful if you included a picture on that thread.

Thanks, As soon as possible , I will place photos there for this valuable stone.

Outer layer pieces more will be uploaded later. Given object in the picture , Approximately --Length---hight-----width-----18cm---11 cm----10 cm---------weight----7Kg. Then approximately density 3.5 g per cmxcmxcm

Hi all friends, This great object may be very useful to the world, 7Kg weight. Now I am thinking, what should I do now ? Please help me.

This great object may be useful to the world if it passes specific meteorite tests. If not, possibly it would be beneficial as crushed subbase for our great highways. Now that would be a great contribution and certainly beneficial to our citizenry.

It would be useful to the TN readership if you were to post independent test results provided by a University or Geotechnical laboratory. If testing results in the rock being other than a JAR, it could prove to be extremely valuable.

Keep us informed.

Lets move this to the Rick forum they know all about everything. Welcome to T-net.

Let us know if it's the real deal.

It looks cool in the 'Cut' picture.
Davers

Now if your relation or a friend or a known person travel as a tourist or he is in Srilanka, I can show this wonderful stone to him, He will tell you about this stone better than Me.
