made the paper this Sunday. a women digging in her garden uncovered a 1793 chain cent in town of Burnham in Miflin County, PA!
The coin will be sold by Stacks Rare Coins in a Sept. auction. Coin worth between $1500-$3000 in current condition according to coin dealer. This property might be worth checking out - I have the person's name - if you want to follow up and live closer to area, just msg me.

Article says property was once dumping grounds for Freedom Forge.
Two guys with MD'ers did go over property and found modern coins and a mason jar lid.

now that's a lucky find! Only 36,103 chain cents minted!

yeah I'd say pretty cool!

Mine was just black and white article but had photo of coin. It was in fair shape but soaking in olive oil may improve that some.

I found a 1917 walker half dollar digging on a colonial property back in 80's. That's what got me into MD'ing. ;D
