Had a humorous experience today...
My wife was with me and we started hunting in a really old park, but it was in a scary part and we didn't want to stay long -- got 1 cent there. Then we just went to a local forest preserve, while walking, I noticed a dime and a penny on the ground, so we got my detector. Within a 3 foot semi-circle around the tree we found $8.82 worth of change including
1 Sacagawea dollar
21 quarters
17 dimes
10 nickels
37 pennies (+1 from the other park)

Not bad for about 14 square feet of ground! My theories abound. Still I'd like finds of greater numismatic interest, but I am not complaining.

Funny thing is there were more coins there -- we just got tired of hunting this little area plus most the signals lift were zinc pennies.

Welcome to TNet!

WOW! Someone REALLY must have been "pre-occupied" under that old tree ::)

That's more clad than I'd find in two months :P Nice score!

Take care & HH!

That's getting close to carnival cookie tosser totals for that tight of an area. Makes it easy to dig clad when it's all holed up together for sure!

Congrats on a little lovenest digfest!

I'd definitely be buying silver with my dug clad! Wise investment ;)

That had to be fun digging all those, WTG!
Yep, save 'em up and invest in precious metals. Here's what I bought with my 2008 clad.
