Well this evening after all my nights and finds on football field finally slowed down, found where they took dump truck load after load. One of boys friends said they smoothed out the piles some gonna go this evening and swing over the dirt and see how much was transfered with it.

So far the field has yielded 2 rings, 15 dollars in clad, 2 buff nickels, 20 wheaties, 1903 indian head, 3 mercs and one rosie. Plus bracelet and some grad jewlery. The old stuff was found after they took off the sod . So hoping there willl be more in dirt they hauled out.

Good Luck Dasher. High school football fields are my favorite places to hunt for jewelry. I now have a early 1900s stadium two blocks from me. I am sure I won't be able to hunt the side lines or field here, but there is a huge area behind it that has a concession stand and holding area for bands and track warm up. Might get a chance to hunt that soon. Keep us posted on your finds.

Yea I would have never attempted doing the field before but since it got ripped out and is going to astro turff once in a lifetime chance here.
