Since the ATP does not come factory shipped with a set of submersible headphones, I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on which ones on the market are decent. I plan on doing some freshwater and saltwater detecting. I'd prefer a pair that comes wireless without use of an adapter, if possible. Just trying to get an idea of the hardware I need before I purchase my ATP. Thanks.

I can tell you for certain that they do not make a wireless setup without an adaptor for the AT. The blue Garrett's are kinda cheep but work ok. You get what you pay for on the waterproof headphones.

Ya i also have never seen any wireless waterproof headphones for any machine

I bought a nice set of water proof to 10 feet ear buds that I have not used yet but sound great

Sent from my iPhone using TreasureNet

Sorry, I'm pretty new to the hobby, so I had no idea what is on the market right now. I guess I'll check Garrett's website and see what they recommend.

The Detector Pro Amphibian headphones are the hot phones for the Garrett AT Pro and Infinium machines. They are not cheap, but they are the best. I agree with Christo000 that there aren't any submersible wireless headphones.

No wireless amphib head phones yet , but it's a good idea if they get it to work, tiderider

I don't think it'll be that big of a deal since most areas I will be searching will most likely be in shallow water less than 10 feet anyhow.

Gunsil, I checked out those Pro Amphibians. They look very nice!

I looked into the possibility of using wireless underwater for an underwater camera, and found it really isn't possible. Radio waves don't travel more than a centimeter or so under water.

They are nice. You can't use any submersible phones with the adaptor plug because the adaptor pug isn't waterproof. The Amphibians are really the only option over the factory phones unless you want to get into splicing.
