✅ SOLVED Wire ring? Silver?

Found today at an old homesite, looks like a ring but I can't say with any confidence that's what it is, thoughts?

I have found a few like it at a modern festival site. Some were silver, some were not.

If the very end of the wire (where it has been cut) is the same color as the rest, then it is probably silver, and not plated. Sure looks sterling. Cool find. Sub

I suspect it's a silver ring. Most likely homemade or folk art. Could be a "puzzle ring" but it seems too straightforward for that.
