I've been watching the site for a short time now and "Drool" over all keyboard when I see the today's finds....! Just been out a few times as it's hot as heck and I am busy packing to move to Tulsa. My first outing I did find a silver four leaf clover charm and a 1955 wheatie, (with other change) so I take that as a sign that things will be good for me on my hunts. I've found a small amount of change so far... on 4 outings. Nothing to do cart wheels over. But I am in the process of learning my Infinium LS also in the salt water in the gulf (which was 1 outing) and the Pioneer. But nevertheless, I am having so much fun. And one of the best parts is when I get to call my 89 year old mother-in-law every Sunday, she always want's every detail on my "treasure hunts". She just loves to hear all about it from every beep & tone to every dig of the shovel or scoop and what came out! It's like she is vicariously living it through me, and that makes me happy! Then I come on TNet almost daily and I see all the pictures of all the "stuff".... and drool....So one day, I will get to post those pictures also, so someone else can drool for a change ;) But during the meantime, keep them coming and good luck to everyone!

I am a Commercial Engineer....in other words I am a custodial worker, LOL. Have been here 2 years. I work at the new Williams-Johnson Building which a sight to behold :walk: in itself. Before I started in this building I was in The Fine Arts Building. My husband transferred from UF to here in 2001 and received his B.A then graduated in 2009 with his Masters in Geology. He was in his first semester of his Phd. until they decided shut it down. So he works in Tulsa doing geosteering right now. That's where I am headed. Then after a while, we will be moving on again. :walk:

Welcome aboard.... where EVER you end up! Remember.... you have friends here. TTC

Tulsa has an interesting history...the huge race riot (of whites) in the 1920's comes to mind. I'll be looking forward to see what you turn up in the dirt over there.

Welome aboard LP :hello:, I look forward to seeing your posts too

PS. Terry is right, you will find friends here where ever you decide to settle

I am in southcentral Oklahoma. Be prepared for the heat when you get here. I don't know how hot it has been in Tulsa, but we have been averaging around 110 temps here for about 30 days with no rain. Tulsa is an interesting place, hope you enjoy it.

I added a new post in General Discussion about old Leon County and Wakulla County maps that my husband had found in the attic of our home. Also my plans are now changed on moving to Tulsa. I am now moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming. His company asked him if he would be interested in going back there to do on-sight geosteering. He loved it there! That's sooooooo exciting for me..... more so than Tulsa! :laughing7: Not that there is anything wrong with Tulsa, I just would rather have mountains to explore, streams to fish in (gotta learn to fly-fish now) and have the number 1 cleanest city in America. Yeah!!!!

Spent some time at Warren AFB in Cheyenne...windy as all get out...lots of antelope
