Sitting inside watching it snow, decided to be constructive, made a control head rain cover for my V3i by cutting out panels from a cordura convention bag, used clear acetate for a window, some Velcro, and fishing line. I cut out the shapes without a pattern, base on dimensions, and sewed them together with a suture stitch using veterinary suture needle holders. I used the bag straps for securing the cover with Velcro closures on the back. It aint pretty but its functional.

I forgot to mention I had gall bladder surgery last week and I'm restricted by the doctor too. LoL

Nice piece of design engineering and construction. Thank you for sharing.

not bad for a cop, think it would fit an MXT-PRO?

I hope you are feeling better... the doc took my friends gall bladder through hid naval...he was sore for a week.
Nice job on the rain cover.

Thanks Jeff, LoL. Yes I think it would fit.

G.A.P. Metal,
Thanks, yep same here except I had two other small incisions besides the one in my navel.

I may make one for the box too, it should be easy since the V3i doesn't have control knobs on the box to have to make flaps for.
