The first one, I have looked myself blind on that one. So far I can't find a match in military, civilian, or airline wings foreign or domestic. I have tried droop wing eagle, droop wing goose, and every combo of that with wings, badge etc. I am at this time at a loss. I looked myself blind back in September when you posted them on the US Militaria web site. When I first saw them here I was like I have seen them somewhere before.

If I find myself unable to sleep again tonight, I'll see if I can't find something. This has bugged me since September.

They are an old duck per-se.

Thanks so much for all your research, Mike....I apologize for causing you all the consternation! I, too, have been looking everywhere to no avail! Thanks again, Jack.

Never, ever seen these....

The first one looks like it has something around its left leg.... or is that an optical illusion?

I see what you mean--I looked at it under 30x magnification, and can't make out anything unusual--just looks like a log or branch his talons are perched on.

Possibly on a snake, like a Mexican coin?

Best,

I requested an ID of these pins from a fellow that sells this sort of thing. His answer back was as follows:

No trouble at all, and I learned something new. I would have never guessed sweetheart pin, but looking at his write up, I would have to believe he is qualified to ID the pins.

I'm sure large one is just costume jewelry
but small one with screw back looks old (could just be costume jewelry lapel pin)

the closest the eagle respresents is early WWII WAAC insignia (womens army auxillery corp)
it was ugly and had nickname of buzzard

Im surprised there are no markings on the screwback. It doesnt have a sweetheart look but if you cant find it, its a good answer.

I didn't think so either, but if I knew, I wouldn't be asking! I'll just have to leave it to the experts.

I see a tiny letter on the bottom of the second eagle.

Are there any markings under the screwback of the first eagle?

Are they both brass?
