wiggle shaft

I know that this has been addressed before . I just got my ace 250 yesterday and the shaft wiggles badly / the shaft tends to bend when doing a pin pt with the quick side to side motion. I know I can use teflon tape where the 2 shafts meet . B ut the pvc shaft that connects the coil will still give. Has anyone tried to put builder spray form down the shaft to add some rigidness so it will not bend or give on a swing?!!!

If you call Garrett they will send you a new lower shaft free. After i called them they sent me one and the new shaft's they are putting out are better than the one that comes with your 250. And they do not charge you for the shaft and they also pay for the shipping. TOTAL COST TO YOU $0.00 FREE

If your one of them tall guy that has the shaft setting on the last hole this will also cause everything to wiggle. Ask Garrett also if the lower shaft is longer.

What you can do is buy a 1/4 x 1 inch bolt and wing nut. This keeps it tight.

For the 1/4 x 1.25 inch bolt with a wing nut, would that be nylon or steel?
