I don't know what it is, but I do know what it isn't. It ISN'T a "bomb" or any other type of explosive I've ever seen before.

Hmm, I'm a wife and I'd be more likely to say, 'Junk, get it out of the house!'

IM not sure if any one will figure it out .
I have a dozen or more ID's from different posts on several forums but only 2 people agree on the
same thing,BATTERY

Motorcycle muffler/ mini bike, just guessing?

Early radioactive isotope storage container. Too bad the radioactive material has started eating through the outer wall, could have been a keeper.

If it's a thermos, open it up (carefully) to see what's inside...

The rusted-thermo-trasholytes were a pre columbian civilization that inhabited the northern valleys of upstate New York.
The entire culture was based on its strange obsession with preserving the temperature of their alcohol based food source known as notwurthaquarteer….
Its not unusual to find the hulked out remnants of the ancient vessels they utilized for that purpose, complete with the now fully transcribed hyroglyphics still visible as follows:
C #&^^ O ^^%o L #@^^ E ^^$# M %^^ A *@# N

The descendants of some early tribes can often be seen shopping at Walmart on the 1st and 15th of each month.

If it's closed somehow at both ends, don't apply heat to it! :sad10: My friend's teenage son died that way due to explosion. Take care & have fun! :icon_thumright: Andi
