WHAT KIND OF TREASURE ARE WE HUNTING TODAY ?
Detector(s) used
MINELAB E TRAC, EXCAL2,QUATTRO,WHITE 6000 DI PRO SL,EAGLE SPECTRUM,SILVER UMAX ,BANDIDO UMAX VARIOUS VINTAGE
my latest trip again i found none. the problem as i see it

is no discarding of worked out materiel.

i read a book about the park and the deposit is like 600

feet deep. underground cone shaped.

everyone thats looking now is in the top 10 feet.

the same top 10 feet since 1800s.

sure they go out there and move the suface around w

a dozer every twice a year. but its still the same top 10 feet.

thats why the only guys scoring are teams that dig down

as far asa possible in a day. fill a buncha buckets

and wash by seruca a different day.

according to the rules they gotta fill their hole by quitting

time the same day as dug.

i guess the only token effort would be for every miner

to take the allowed 5 gal bucket of materiel out every day

when I'm at the park....thuis is where I dig. I STILL dig w/ Charles Newman....actually, he made me a set of screens.
Perhaps He'll be able to set ya up w/ a team. Will you be staying at the Miner's Camp?

vibes don't go away. my cousin has been wanting me to go down there with him and try our luck. I hear they look just like regular rocks when you dig them up,so I guess I need to do some research to see what I would be looking for. have you found anything there?

why do you stay so far away???? When you go, stay at the miner's camp that way you'll meet some of the regular diggers! Plus it's just down the street from the park and reasonably priced heads up! He'll teach you everything you'll need to know! But some incredible diamonds have been found this past 1 1/2 weeks due to all the rain....I know of an 8.66 found last week but it hasn't been released to the media!!! A nice one too! Good luck...it's a lot of work digging, sifting and saruca'ing....but the pay off is there if you're diligent!

well.i used an online travel guide. since it had been many

years since i went there. thats where they recommended

to stay.and i booked and paid in advance.

i would assume the miners camp is regular camping.

i travel with wifey who wantsa motel room due to not

being interested in treasure hunting of any kind.

i must say the drive was very pretty but got long quick.

i realize now that there are motels in murfreesboro

itself which is a lot closer.

how exciting to hear from someone who has actually been

there and done it sucessfully. you obviously have

inside connections and are getting reports from down

there.

the main info i got was from a man who said he was

writing books about his life and trying to sell it.

he was still pretty young and had been around

the world to many interesting areas and had hair

raising almost unbelivable stories to tell.

working in partnership with a woman he found 3

diamonds incl a 3 karat yellow.

he was the only one that would talk to me.

and i tried not to be in his way tto much.

the other miners were working in teams.

and would only grunt or anser in monosylllables.

it was obvious they wanted me gone and didnt want to share info.

even after i kept coming around 4 days.

again thanks for helping

The Shamrock is a decent place to stay....I've stayed there...and the Queen of Diamonds Hotel is a step above that!

The guy who spoke to you...I'm wondering if that's Charles Newman? Or perhaps Glen Worthington? I'll try to share a pic of Charles later today.

this guy was youngish maybe mid 20s to early 30s.

i thought the first pic u put up of the miner washing

was chuck.

thanks for the motel info. whatever one he was staying at.

was a weekly rate. that was probably the one ill stay at.

on the right hand side if ur headed back to arkadelphia.

it was the only place that i noticed that actually

had the price on their sign out front.

is that the shamrock ?

Ooops...yes, that is him but PLEASE don't call him Chuck to his face!
oh ok. why , does he prefer charles.

also in the case of glen worthington. hes the guy that

wrote the book on this place. genuine diamonds found

in arkansas. itsa pretty new book but at the end it sez

that he had spent many years of his life there. and at his

wifes request he promised not to go diamond mining

anymore so he could spend more time w/her.

maybe that didnt take? was he so addicted to mining

that he couldnt stay away ?

I know this is old, but I can atest to good finds being found there without having to dig deep down. Rains can uncover many diamonds just below the surface. A good time to hunt there is after a good rain shower. I have been there many times when younger and have seen many many diamonds from the locals and others that stay at the site. My grand father found the Amarillo Starlight there as well, and I was with him when it was found. It was just after a good rain shower earlier that day.

I have found two and the friend I brought with me got 1. We bought their seruca screens. Used them instead of just looking thru a "regular" screen. We live 1000 miles away so were there two days. It had rained hard. What we did was go thru the stuff people had looked thru and thrown out, so we didn't really dig. WE tried surface hunting but didn't find anything that way. The secret is people are looking for DIAMONDS and real size is more like DIAMONDS.

If you can use hydraulic equipment then use a 20t excavator with a 20'+ auger.u can drill in 50 3' diameter hole per day and backfill
