I Sometimes find gold tinted quarters in the swimming areas in the foothill lakes. I always thought it had something with the minerials comming from the mountains. Tony

People buy those by the butt-load from places like HSN, tricked into thinking they are solid gold. When they realize the quarters are not worth much more than a circulated quarter, they throw them away in anger! :icon_sunny:

They are easy to make. First: Be careful and do not do this inside. Take some Drano and throw in a galvanized nail in a pan Bring to a boil and drop the coin (Any will do) boil for a cuple of minutes. Dry off the coin. Hold coin with plyers and hold over an open flame. Ta-Da a Gold Coin! Saw this somewhere on the web. You can probably Google it.
