Hello everyone,
I have tried quite a few metal detectors, from fishers, to garretts, whites and minelabs. I just want to show, just one reason why I bought another minelab. Seems to me the other machines just didn't seem to hit the coins as deep. I been over this park 150 times or more going same path different paths crisscross, up down different types of machines. And now the ctx3030 pulls this 1898 barber dime at a depth of 12 inches. I believe I may have walked over this coin probably 100 times and never even heard it. Soil conditions were dry, and I got this good solid deep dime, quarter sound at 12 inches. Well last hole of the day I decided to dig it. Unbelievable I Iook down and out of the dirt is this black dime. I am so glad I bought a Minelab, thats 2 silvers this week from a park that has been hunted heavily by me and many other detectors. The park isnt that old either built in the 60's. Any way good luck to all and happy hunting!
Last picture is after I cleaned it a little.
