I went out for about an hour with my SE to a place where I had pounded it good with the Ace 250 a couple of years ago. This time I covered myself with Deep Woods Off. I still wish I had done the same the other evening. The mosquito's about carried me off. I found a 1954 rabies vaccination tag about 6" deep. Does anyone else like to find them as much as I do. I don't know what it is about them but I think it's so cool to find one. Well, maybe it's just me, lol... Thanks for looking and have a good one.

wtg :icon_thumright: yep those sound more like biteing buzzards than skeeters

that is a cool tag, I'd be happy to find one, I like unusal stuff like that! glad to see the minelab cleaning up the goods the ace missed!

I have not found a rabie tag but I have found the dog tags....Matt

hell the mosquito's are nothing compared to our horseflies and deerflies. the horseflies take chunks of flesh when they bite the mosquito's just drink a little blood. my brother in law was stationed in alaska and told me more than 1 person was killed when mosquito's drained too much blood from them.

happy hunting.

when you find one that is deep it makes you wonder if it was not buried with the dog when the dog died? i have often wondered anyway, i have found 3 of those over the years.

That was for a dog, right? ;D

Yeah buddy, it's for a dog. I thought about going back there today but last night, just before I left there I heard two mosquitos talking... One said to the other "should we eat him here or take him back with us?" The other one said "we better eat him here because our big brothers will take him away from us if we take him home"
