I’ve seen them incorporate cornstalks into their dams. Pretty resourceful critters. I’d guess they eat it too.

I think pretty much every animal eats corn, if given the opportunity.

I once drove my great aunt to St. Louis to pick up a mink coat she had altered. The store had dozens of furs on their racks. I decided to examine the furs without looking at the label to see which one I thought was the “best”. When I found the ultimate fur I looked at the label. Beaver! I can see why the Europeans went crazy over beaver from N America in the 1700s.
