I found this thingy in my privy dig in the back yard. It was in good company with 189 medicine bottles,stain glass,and sevral metal objects. It is about 31/2" wide at the Largest end and the funnel like top is not hardly 1/2" and the funnel end looks like it has been filed off or something. So what is it?

It's hard to tell from the pictures... is it a container or a funnel?

Was there a nub that may have broken off the top?? If so , Maybe it's a lid to an apothecary jar or a jar that held straws in a soda shop , etc . ?

The top doesnt look broken it looks like it has been filed on the small end I thought it might be a funnel for putting pills or liquid medacine into bottles.

I put up a couple more pictures but it is hard to photograph. The small end looks work so much it grainy and white.

we found the same in our old homes we are exploring. Seems back then they made their own medicine perfume etc,

It looks like a glass funnel to me. The small end is ground smooth.

Okay it isnt anything like the fly trap thingy. Really. I guess the pictures are as good as I thought. Thanks Papa for the fingernail compliment. I was wearing gloves part of the dig. I didnt at first I was too excited when the first Coke bottle came out. I didnt think of it until I started finding bottles with medicine still in them and it stank so bad :
