A good "friend" ;D recently found a giant cache of coins (some US gold), platinum bars, and all sorts of paper money and junk mixed in.

This find is probably worth upwards of $50,000.

In looking through some of it I came upon this little campaign deal and wondered if someone here might be able to give me more info on this guy.

Also I have a basket full of paper money labeled "THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT." Is it worth anything?

Thanks a ton.

Can't help with old Billy C., but I'd love to see a photo of something glittery from the rest of the items...

A quick search for William indicates he isn't going to be an easy find - and like Buckleboy - where are the pics? Please ;D

My friend has it all in several locations now. The gold and platinum are in a safety deposit box and some is still sealed under a floor of the house. Maybe I'll snap a picture or two the day that comes out.

Gee, I sure hope he doesn't forget Uncle Sam ;D

William C. Camp is an actor (WAS an actor) who played some bit parts back in 1930s.

He played "the clubman" in the movie "Baby Face Harrington" in 1935, and he had a part in "Oh, Oh, Cleopatra", in 1931.

So this campaign print on the back of a fake Confederate Dollar was some sort of joke?

I was able to look up his bio because I've seen him in a minor course I took when I was in college. - that's all I know, but maybe he thought about running before Reagan did? (doubt it, but you never know - many actors did more than one thing, especially if you are nothing but an extra on a set)

You just asked who is was - and I told you all that I know about him.

Maybe it was a 'different kind of vote' - not political???

The Japanese Government notes pictured above were used when Japan occupied the Philippines during World War II

Thanks SWR.

So, value is maybe $1 or 2 each? Not real hot I would imagine.
