Or similar one like it that has small holes in the back.
Notice where the user added an extra mesh to the back to hold the small targets?

Thanx in advance.

Stealth has one called 920I

Stealth scoops make one very similar to that but their handles don't go through the body and into the scoop like this. This could be a stealth knockoff (you find them on Ebay ) or another manufacturer.

ETA - I haven't seen any stealths with the tiny hole at the back, but he may make some like that.

Here is the Stealth 920I with the hybrid rear. I didn't mean the scoop in OP post was stealth, only that I knew stealth made one with with tiny holes in rear.

Is that pretty new? I have a 920 (I think its a 920i) but it doesn't have smaller holes like yours. I don't remember that option when I bought mine, but it makes a lot of sense to make it like that.

This is the hybrid option for an additional $12

Hybrid option: Small slots, 1/8” wide by 5/8” long. Now you can now catch very small items and yet sifts faster than small holes.

Good design.
I have chased a few small ear rings and posts that slipped through my old beach brute.
I also added a magnet to catch hairpins, nails, and bottle caps.

Do any other companies make something similar to the 920iX?

Also just curious on how many members use the

vs the

BEST UPGRADE I HAVE EVER MADE by adding a neodymium magnet to the bottom. I can’t tell you how many hair pins, fishing hooks and rusty bottle caps it captured that would have driven me nuts otherwise.

I always prefer the angled handle, just feel better for me. Cant imagine how I would scoop in deep water with a 90 degree handle

I agree with you 100%. I cant imagine the 90 degree either. After awhile your back would be hurting for leaning forward so much I would imagine.

Mine is I think a 720I hybrid. Has the small holes in the rear. I thought it might cause sand to load up there, however not the case. Catches the small goodies!

I Don't know who made that scoop, but, it would be a pain to retrieve a small target at the bottom of that basket. Sand sifting and dumping would probably be tougher too. There are many scoop companies out there with a bunch of different prices and qualities. My personal choice for being the "best" one is the Stealth series. I have both a 720 (reinforced for working rocks and cobble or out in the surf) and a 920ix for wet and dry sand. Another sand scoop company that has just come on the scene is Xtremescoops.com. Design looks very good, although I haven't used one yet. Designed by a water hunter, so, should be a good one.
