I found these baseball cards under the floorboards in the attic of our previous house. They're not in great shape..and unfortunately the smaller one is ripped in half. :-\

I've been trying to find out who is on the smaller card. I can't make out the name. I just know he's a catcher who played for Brooklyn. I think this card is a 1909 Dockman and Sons bubblegum card.

Do you think I could get anything for them on Ebay? I'd rather sell them for a few bucks to a collector who might enjoy them ...then for them to be thrown in a drawer at my house.

Any opinions??

I would say it is probably Bill Bergen, catcher for the 1909 Brooklyn Superbas, who later became the Brooklyn Dodgers.

I found your card on a collector site. They want $66 for it in VGEX condition and $30 in VG. I have no idea how to rate yours but it doesn't look too bad IMO.

I'm with you on selling it. If it doesn't mean anything to you, put it in the hands of someone who wants it.
