After finding 24 red seal $2 notes at the bank, I have been thoroughly searching ones for interesting serial numbers, oldies, web notes, ext. However, I have only found two near radars (1 off) and the oldest bill was 1988. I would like to know some tricks to get some of the older ones, i suspect most are pulled out by tellers, and how many ones will it take to produce something interesting. Thanks

I do.

No tricks really. Just talk to the tellers and ask if they will save the older bills they come across. If they won't, just take some cash to the bank and get change. I usually get 50 $1's at a time, search through them and if I don't find anything I take them back to a different bank and get a $50. Then repeat the process all over again. Just don't do it too much or people will start to ask questions or get annoyed. You don't want to ruin it for the rest of us.

To be honest with you, most of my finds have came by accident. I got a crisp 1988 $10 bill in my change from the grocery store and several star notes the same way. I guess all I can say is the more bills you look through, the better your chances are of finding something. So get out there and give it a shot!

It's a terrible affliction :D, but I do as well. I check every bill from anyplace I get change from. Have been lucky a few times as well. It's a bit like a crap-shoot - but more fun with less to lose... ;D

I just got 1 1969 D worth an extra 15 cents!
