After seeing how a G on here got three solid rolls of silver dimes I want to know how many of you are coin rollin'?

I haven't done any in a while but have gone through about a 1000 worth total and have some silvers put away from doing them, my bank rolls their own though, so it's like going throughCWR's when I would get a box from them. Maverick.

Lately I've been making it a mission to get a solid roll. Every saturday I hit as many banks as I can asking for customer wrapped dimes. Been through a bunch, and a lot of old looking rolls, but have gotten surprisingly little silver, even worse than BWR. I used to do a lot of dime boxes, they constantly produced for me and were a lot of fun. If halves are getting you down, dimes are the way to go.

Dimes have always been a fun challenge. They fit perfectly in a glass tube for cigars and make an impressive display.

The photo is a couple of years old. Since then I've added 3 more tubes and a few solid paper rolls (I ran out of glass tubes). Some day this winter, I plan on updating some of my silver porn.

The tube with the Barber is all Barbers. I've since added about 20 more to the tube. I don't keep track of my finds like a statistician. It is always "Just another for the Pile". Seriously, I could Roll Hunt my bedroom and find silver that I don't remember having found before. Some finds are tossed here and some there. Some are in drawers and some are on the floor. It really is a filthy mess of silver.

Oh, and the horizontal tubes are Mercs. The partial tube has since been filled and another tube is half full. I've run out of tubes for my Rosies.

All I do is dimes and halves. I find about 2 pre-65 dimes per box. They're a fun way to stay in the game between boxes of halves.

I wish I could just throw my silver around like it was nothing. Every silver we find, no matter how small, is a miracle to us & is treasured. If you can't keep track of yours, Diver, we'd be happy to take some of that filthy silver off your hands.

i store all my silver finds in those 60 cent plastic tubes from the local coin shop, easy to tally up once they are full and store nicely.

Hey I coined that line! When I jumped on the dimewagon 5 years ago some of the regulars here laughed and ridiculed. As far as I can remember tho, Diver_Down is the original dimemaster

thank you, i did recently get some dime boxes with the date "8/31/10" inside the box, but all of the 4 boxes i;ve gotten were skunky. i also got one from 5/31/11 which had 1 keeper, a worn 1951.

Absolutely. The credit is all yours. There is truth in the line, but it also makes me laugh. I really am not the dimemaster. They are just a mindless distraction. I wish I had your luck in pulling the Canadian dimes like you.
