I couldn't believe my eyes. I found this beautiful 1920's Whiting and Davis bag at the local dump. It's in primo condition and the lining is still in tact. A sweet collector's item.

I have had a couple of Whiting & Davis bags (and even a bracelet) but your's is just gorgeous! Congratulations on that terrific treasure find.

Wow,what a find! I can't imagine why anyone would throw it out,when they could take it to an antique dealer or store that sells vintage clothing and get money for it. I don't think you can pick the dump out here by me.Might have to find out if you can,if so I'll have to look around.Probably will find just a bunch of junk.

I'd estimate it at $50-$100 depending, if you get more than one person interested in it that week. I'd list it at auction with a $49.99 start price. But I'm a part time ebayer. It's a nice Art Deco era (1930's) enamel mesh bag.


Great save from the dump! Every time I find a Whiting Davis bag at estate sales or what have you, they are always damaged, especially the chain mail mesh ones.
